Summary
Armand Marseille bisque doll, in broken condition with detached head, body, arms and 1 leg. The head is made of bisque and has 2 blue eyes with a mechanism for them to move, red lips and pink cheeks, the hair is missing. The rest of the body is made of light pink painted plaster, the limbs were attached by little metal hooks. 1 arm is broken, the hand is missing. The pink leg has a beige sock and a broken brown heeled shoe. The doll has a white dress with blue, yellow and pink flowers with a skirt at the bottom and a slit at the back. It has inscriptions on the head: “Germany, A.16/0 M”.

"Armand Marseille was born in Russia but founded a factory in Thuringa, Germany which began production of dolls in 1885 and continued through to the 1930s. Marseille's dolls were made of bisque, a type of porcelain that was popular for doll-making in the late 19th and early 20th centuries."
