Recipient: Charles William Stewart, later Charles William Vane 3rd Marquess of Londonderry (1778-1854) Date awarded: 1816 United Kingdom Royal Guelphic Order (est. 1815. Disest. 1837) Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Guelphic Order George III participated in the Napoleonic land wars as King of Hannover. Charles Stewart was head head of 'German Legion' and the 18th Hussars.
