Summary
A French First Empire giltmetal-mounted general officer's sabre with ebony hatched grip with lion-mask finial, the guard cast and chased with dragon's mask finial and military trophies, the gilt scabbard with similar trophies within leaf-chased borders, circa 1800, the steel blade inscribed in gilt with illegible cypher and crown.
