Summary
Oil painting on canvas, George Henry Robert Charles Williams Vane-Tempest, Viscount Seaham, later 5th Marquess of Londonderry (1821-1884) as a Child by Sir Thomas Lawrence, PRA (Bristol 1769 – London 1830), circa 1822/25. A full-length portrait, seated on a cushion, red curtain background. He was the elder son of the 3rd Marquess by his second wife. He held the title of Viscount Seaham until he succeeded his father as 2nd Earl Vane in 1854 and his half-brother as 5th Marquess of Londonderry in 1872.
