Chevy (dealer); acquired by Ralph Stawell Dutton (1898-1985), 8th and last Lord Sherborne, in 1938 for £25; with William Drown, Ltd., picture conservation and restoration, in July 1963, when a new gilt frame was supplied; bequeathed to the National Trust by Ralph Stawell Dutton, with the rest of the collections, house, gardens and estate of Hinton Ampner.
