Oil painting on canvas (grisaille), Spring, style of Jacob de Wit (Amsterdam 1695 – Amsterdam 1754), 19th century pastiches in the manner of Boucher and de Wit. One of two paintings. Putti playing emblematic of Spring and Summer, with flowers and sheaves of corn. Probably originally from a set of the Four Seasons let into the decoration of a room.
