Summary
A Sèvres oval quatrefoil ecuelle (broth bowl) stand, the kidney shaped panels painted with flowers and fruit tied by a blue and puce ribbon on a deep blue (bleu nouveau or beau bleu) ground, gilt with laurel and other foliage, manufacturer's interlaced 'L's', date letters cc for 1780, gilder's mark of Etienne-Henry Le Guay, and unidentified painter's mark, all in blue enamel on the base.
