Summary
Tripod plate/frame. Metal frame which attaches to the bottom of a large tailboard or field camera to enable fitting a substantial tripod. The whole is constructed from 14mm x 3mm steel bar in the form of a triangle welded at each corner with plate for a protective rubber mount. Inside the triangle attached at the half way point of each side and coming together in the centre to form a circle which has a brass bush, through which a bolt passes into the tripod socket of the camera. The original rubber mount/washer has deteriorated and been supplemented with 4 metal washers. At each corner, external to the triangular frame both rails extend into a rounded finials with a post on each, creating three brackets with internal posts to which sprung tripod legs can be attached.
