Summary
Kodak Six-20 Brownie D camera. The whole is a simple metal case into which the lens, viewfinders and shutter system have been mounted. It is made to use 620 film and the whole back panel hinges down from a spring and post clip. The film advance winder is withdrawn and the film holder can be removed. There is a red porthole in the back panel to see the frame numbers. Inside the back plate is an advertising panel which reads - Use Kodak 620 film. No 120 film will not fit this camera. The top of the camera has two metal posts for a leather hand strap and a viewfinder for when the camera is used in portrait format. The right side of the camera has a viewfinder for use when in landscape format and the film advance winder. This Six-20 Brownie D lacks any aperture or focus adjustment; and simply has an Instant/Time switch for the shutter. This control and the shutter release are found below the viewfinder. The left side is unremarkable as is the base. The front of the camera is black with a silver design and two round viewfinder lenses near the top and the lens central. Below the lens is printed "Six-20 'Brownie' D". Made by Kodak.
