Summary
Folding Kodak Vest Pocket Camera Model B. The whole is a metal construction with simulated leather body work. It is a conventional folding bed camera for 127 film. The complete folding section, including the bed, is formed as a single piece that then fits into the roll film back. The two have to be separated to load and remove the film. Concealed buttons on the sides of the body are used to release the back. In use the front of the camera opens and the lens moves forward down the folding beds chromed rails with paper bellows. There is a tripod socket built into the flap and a chromed fold down leg to enable the camera to stand on a flat surface. There is a prismatic viewfinder on the left top of the standard. Below is the lens which has only three controls, on the top, a lever which moves between T and I and the two way shutter release slightly to the right. Below the viewfinder is a dial control which selects the aperture numbered from 1 - 4. Above the lens is marked with a CKC logo and around reads “ Made in Canada by Canadian Kodak Co.Limited, Toronto. Ont. 22115” and beneath reads “Vest Pocket Kodak Model B”. The film winder is a simple turn buckle arrangement at the top of the body and the back of the film compartment has a slide slot opening and a red porthole through which to see the frame numbers on the film. Embossed below the porthole is “Use Kodak film No 127”.
