Summary
Weston Master V light meter The whole is a photoelectric light meter As in use the front is marked "Weston Master V" above the light meter scale which is calibrated from 2 – 10 when the baffle is open and 10 – 16 when the baffle is closed. Below on the left is the film speed lock button. Below are the calculator dials with film speed indicator windows. The outside dial shows shutter times from 1/ 1200 - 90 seconds. The exposure value dial shows values from 1 – 32. On the right side of the meter is the pointer lock button. The back of the meter has a baffle over the photoelectric cell. When the baffle is closed, the high light scale (10-16) moves into position. The baffle should be kept closed when the light reads 10 or higher. If the light reading is less than 10, the baffle should be opened bringing the low light scale (0-10) into use. Beneath the baffle and photoelectric cell is a plate which reads “Universal exposure meter, Sangamo Weston Ltd, Enfield Middx Eng, Model S461.5 No 492RT, Made in Great Britain” Through the plate is a zero corrector. There is a cord atched to the bottom of the meter so that it can be hung around the neck.
