Summary
Lens of the Photosniper outfit. This is a simple cylindical 300mm telephoto lens. It has an M42 screw moun., The aperture ring is marked 4.5 - 22. From the back of the aperture ring is a cable which connects to the camera meter connection socket. Next there is a diaphragm setting knob and then the lens continues as three step widening cylinder to the object lens. Below the lens there is the diaphragm release lever which has an adjustment screw, a three hole mount which attaches to the pistol grip and the lens focusing drum which remains accessible when the pistol grip is attached. The end of the lens is marked in white " TAIR - 3S 4,5/300, the zenit logo, 8608791 LENS MADE IN USSR" A large rubberised concertina style lens hood ia attached to the filter ring.
