Summary
Leather case for a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515 folding roll film camera. The whole is of firm leather construction. Based on a leather cradle which encloses three sides of the camera it attaches to the camera by means of a knurled bolt which secures to the tripod socket. There is an opening to enable use of the slide to see the numbers on the film. On each side short leather straps have been rivetted in place. One has a buckle. Attached to each other they would surfice to form a carrying handle but there is an additional buckled strap inserted between them to provide a neck strap/carrying handle. The rest of the case which comprises three main parts is rivetted to the back so that in use it drops down below the camera. The first piece covers the front of the camera. This piece has been tooled on the front. The next piece covers the top of the camera and is the most robustly stiffened area of the case. Finally there is a piece of leather which connects to a pop fastener on the back of the case resulting in a secure and rugged case.
