Summary

Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515 folding roll film camera. The whole is a metal bodied roll film camera with folding lens and bellows assembly The front of the camera, when closed has the Zeiss Ikon logo embossed into the leather covering on the right side. The lens assembly cover is central and has a fold out chrome tab/leg which comes into use as the camera opens into the portrait format. When the front of the camera is released the lens and bellows open automatically. The lens has a metal standard, the next ring is the f stop control marked from 4.5 to 22. Next the shutter lever and shutter speed ring marked from 175 to T and finally the focus ring marked from 4 feet to Infinity. The shutter ring is marked showing that it is a “Klio” shutter and is also marked “Zeiss Ikon”. The lens is marked “Nettar-Anastigmat 1 : 4,5 f= 7,5cm”. The back of the cameras leather covering is embossed “Zeiss Ikon” and has two circular red film windows which are covered with metal screens and there is a slide button between to open and close them. The whole of the back opens to reveal the film compartment. Either side of the pressure plate is text, “Zeiss Ikon Film” in white and the colour picture of a film carton on one side and embossed into the back plate on the other side is “Zeiss Ikon Film 6x9 cm B2 21/4x31/4 in”. The top, left of the camera is the shutter release. In the centre is the folding optical viewfinder. Then there is a button to open the lens and bellows assembly. The left side of the camera has the hinge for the film compartment The right side of the camera has the slide up release mechanism for the film compartment. The bottom right of the camera is the tripod socket. On the left is the film rewind handle.
