Summary
Leather case for an Agfa Flexilette 3030 twin lens reflex 35mm camera. The whole is a leather and metal case lined with soft fabric which attaches to the camera by way of the tripod socket. The camera is held securely on a metal shelf through which the tripod screw connects with the tripod socket on the camera. It has a tripod socket in the base to allow a tripod to be used even when the case is attached to the camera. On the area covering the base is stamped “6105” and “Made in Germany”. This portion of the case covers the back and side fronts of the camera. It also has two metal mounts for the adjustable neck/carrying strap. The rest of the case which comprises three main parts is attached to the back so that in use it drops down below the camera. The first piece covers the front of the camera and has been stiffened in the area of the lens to afford greater protection. This piece has been tooled on the front and has the Agfa diamond logo stamped into it. The next piece covers the top of the camera and is the most robustly stiffened are of the case and has additional strengthening in the form of a metal band protecting the whole lower edge. Finally there is a piece of leather which connects to a pop fastener above the original attachment on the back of the case resulting in a secure and rugged case.
