Summary
Nikon Coolpix S3000, described by Nikon as an ultra compact 12.0 megapixel 4x zoom digital camera. The camera body is metal with red front and black back. The front is marked "Nikon" right top, as in use, next to the flash lamp, far right is the focus sensor. Between and below is the lens which is marked "Nikon 4X wide optical zoom 4.9 - 19.6 mm 1:3.2 - 5.9". to the right of the lens is engraved Coolpix and below a sticker which reads " 12.0 Megapixels, wide 4X zoom 6.7cm (2.7in) LCD). The top and sides of the camera has a chrome strip running between the red scale front and the black body area. The back of the camera has a 67mm monitor screen and beneath is marked “Nikon” to the right of the screen is a flash symbol and the flash ready indicator light. Beneath there is the shooting mode button and playback button. Beneath is the multiselector wheel with the OK button in the centre. Beneath are the Menu and delete buttons The top of the camera is marked Coolpix S3000, then the on off switch and on the right side is the combined zoom lever and shutter release. The right side of the camera has a fitting for a strap and a wrist strap is attached. The left side of the camera has a video out port. The bottom of the camera has a tripod socket and a label which reads “Nikon Coolpix S3000 46140735 Made in China Nikon Corp Japan, 4.2/3.7V 0.4 – 0.4A. There is an A/V out port and the battery/SD card compartment flap and a rechargeable EN-EL10 battery is inside.
