Summary
Pathé Cinematographe improved Lumière 35mm hand driven cine projector mechanism.
Full description
A Pathé Cinematographe improved Lumière 35mm hand driven cine projector mechanism. It has a brass lens holder, with a knurled adjustment screw for focussing. This is fronted by a three blade shutter (1525297.2). On the righthand side is the manual winding mechanism (with original handle). At the back is a knurled brass lever, to adjust the height of the lens, next to this is a flywheel which turns the shutter. Then there is a moveable flap, which covers the film gate and lets the light through. There are sprockets to move the film, above and below this. These are powered by a chain and a set of cog wheels on the lefthand side of the mechanism. This is all mounted on a solid metal base.
