Summary
Black wooden box to house praxinoscope. covered in black leather with a light blue paper lining. On the base of the box is a friction drive wheel which is operated by a turning handle that sticks out through a slot in the side. The wheel has a rubber rim to give contact to the spinning disc. This rubber has now perished and is brittle and in four bits. On the floor of the base is a threaded metal disc which can hold the spindle. At the back of the base are two metal slots which can hold the viewing screen. The lid of the box is attached by two metal hinges and there is a blue ribbon on both sides which links the base with the top.There is a circular glass viewing hole near the top of the lid which has a brass edge and underneath this is a metal clip. On the outside lid of the box is a paper label with the the logo and the initials E.P. The words "Kinematofor. No3". The two parts of the box are held together by a small swivel hook
