Summary
Base board for a W Butcher Empire No.00 35mm hand driven cine projector.The whole is a large composite wooden board of rectangular shape with one corner removed at 45degrees. The board has a moulded edge and brass, metal and wood fixtures From the back the slide gallery which takes the lamp house a brass metal clip into which the film management system would fix. A wooden block is mounted on the top of the board, a coach bolt with wing nut penetrates the board in order to fix down the film management structures. At the front there is a brass plate that appears to locate a rod in the front of the film management system.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
