Summary
Zeiss Ikon 35mm hand driven cine projector mechanism.
Full description
Zeiss Ikon 35mm hand driven cine projector mechanism,on a solid metal base, which has a revolving shutter extended from the body of the mechanism. The shutter comprises of 2x2 cardboard collapsible shutters, mounted on metal hinges in front of a circular metal plate, which has 3 different sized holes in it. The lens is on the right hand side and has a knurled focusing outer ring.It has the film movement mechanism above and below it, with the film gate to the rear. Beneath this is a large knurled metal knob, that adjusts the height of the whole mechanism. On the rear are are 2 hinge attachments, for the attachment of a light source. (The hinge attachments of object 1525270.2 are not compatible). On the left hand side is the drive mechanism, with a brass drive wheel powering 2 brass cogged wheels and associated film moving sprockets, together with the shutter at the front. (The handle included is not a compatible fit for the nut at the end of the drive wheel). There is also a broken metal drive belt, the length of which suggests that there is an additional mechanism (that is missing) to be driven. Markings: On the top of the mechanism on the right hand side, a plate is screwed in with "Zeiss Ikon" stamped into it. On the front, on top is stamped "87574".
