Summary
A carrying case/cover for a home cinematograph by E. Mollier, Paris The whole is of pressed and folded metal construction comprising 3 pieces, 2 end panels which are arched at the top and 1 large piece which comprising the long side and top domed case.On each long side there is painted decoration comprising a foliate border. On 1 side there was an ornate painted plaque L’Educateur E Mollier and on the other side there is a painted plaque in in oblong frame – 'George Palmer’s Projectors' The side panels are similar decorated with a border with foliate corners. Through the top and strengthen with a reinforcing bar there are 2 metal knobs which retain the bent metal bar of the carrying handle which has a turned wooden cover. Screwed to the bottom of each side panel is a long bolt which secures the cover to the base board. Simple cast brass cranking handle with a turned wooden knob.
