Summary
A small metal frame. This is a small box structure comprising two pieces of metal. The metal is folded to create what appears to be a very small slide carriage box for the front of a projector. The second piece of metal has been soldered to the center of the box section and forms what appears to be a simple spring clip to hold it into place. It would appear that this object has found its way into this collection as it does not resemble to construction of the lantern nor does it appear to fit into the lantern in any way.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
