Summary
Objective lens assembly for a Toy magic lantern slide projector. This is of pressed sheet metal and brass construction. It consists of two pieces of metal rolled into cylinder each holding one glass lens and then the two cylinders have brass terminal collars. The first tube is created to slide onto the front of the lantern and the brass terminal collar allows the front portion of the lens to slide into it creating a slide draw focussing system between the two lenses. The front element has a brass collar which holds the lens but gives the impression of the more complex lens assemblies on more professional lanterns.
