Summary

1 cardboard Tricot upright Gas Mantle tube containing a mantle. The body of the cylinder is covered with a paper label which is red and printed in white. " The Tricot Registered Trade Mark Upright Mantle British Made " There are no closure caps The cylinder contains a small piece of cotton wool packing The mantle itself is in bad condition so has not been removed from the container.

Provenance

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
