Two rack focussing lenses in a brass cylinder, and a large fixed lens by the lamphouse. Metal lens cap with hinge on one side and with small knob to operate opening or closing. On the main lamp house on both sides are two identical metal hinged inspection doors that have a turning knob to open and in the centre of these doors there is a metal disc that can rotate to expose a blue glass window. At the top of the lamphouse is a rectangular hole in which to slot the chimney or cowl. The back of the lamphouse has another door with a metal catch which allows the burner to be placed in the lamphouse. Markings: A metal plate on the back of the rear door stays "W.M.S.S. UNION.
