Summary
3 wick burner for Tyler Helioscopic magic lantern This metal burner has a fuel tank at the bottom and a capped opening so that the fuel can be topped up. Three wick burners which can be adjusted using the 3 brass knobs at the front of the burner. In the centre of this burner is a raised curved cylindrical box in which the wicks burn. This whole unit can be raised up to expose the wicks. One end is a clear glass, however this is not an original piece and has been fitted much later. At the other end is a removable metal door that can slide out. This has a reflective surface on the inside and a small circular viewing window with blue glass. On the top there is a metal cowl which can support the separate chimney.
