Summary
Spirit burner illuminant for a Benetfink lantern projector. This comprises Russian iron construction bent metal and wire to form a base board and fuel tank combined with a brass filler cap. from the tank four triangular section box rise to form wick holders which come together in a perforated metal ignition area. Each of the wicks are individually managed by means of foour knurled knobs on rods which enter the wick holders. The Russian iron dome topped illuminant box hinges forward on a wire frame to allow access to the wicks. There is a blue glass view finder for observing the flame and wicks from behind the lantern and at the front there is what appears to be a mica screen to protect the condenser lens from the heat.
