Summary
Circular slide for Toy Magic Lantern depicting the story of Robinson Crusoe. A glass disc with a metal rim, with 6 colour lithographic circular pictures, between which is a black mask . The pictures are numbered 1,2,4,5,7& 8. In the centre is another frame showing the circle with two wings and the letters EP written underneath and No Vl. Above this inner circle are the words "Robinson Crusoe" and below "Gesetzlich geschütz" ('protected by law'). The letters EP refer to the manufacturer, Ernst Plank (further information at website link in General Note below).

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
