Summary
Daylight enlarger by W Butcher & Sons Ltd. A rigid pyramidal wooden body covered in black imititation leather, with clips at the narrow end to attach a plate holder. One of the clips has a wire spring but this does not have any tension to it. There are two pieces of glass under the detachable cover and sandwiched between is a negative. The wooden base is held in place by two small metal clips that swing round to lock it in. under the wooden base is a glass plate to hold the photographic paper (up to full plate size) in place. Behind the negative holder is a fixed focus lens and cut-off shutter. This can be opened or closed by pulling or pushing on a knob found on one side of the box. Markings - On one side is a small round metal badge with "British Made" and W.B & Sons Ltd writting in the middle.
