Summary
Kodak Amateur Printer in original box. The printer is wooden with some metal fittings. The outside is natural wood finish and the inside has a reflective silver coating. The inside has two bullbs, white and red, which are connected to a switching mechanism controlled from a switch on the lid. These bulbs are mounted on a trolley, the position of which is controlled by a knob on the outer end of the unit. The side of the box has a rectangular panel covered with yellow fabric (presumably to form a safelight) and there is also a piece of red fabric of this size. The lid, which is removable, is itself a complicated unit. A glass panel (5x3 inches) is covered by a wooden block which is hinged in two stages. The cover has a fabric lining. There are scales on two sides to aid print sizing and alignment. There is a cable with a light fitting at the free end. On the top is a metal plate which says ' Kodak Amateur Printer Manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A. Patd July 14, 1914, Nov 9, 1915, RE Apr 23 1916, Patd May 14 1918.
