Summary
F24 Aerial Camera body with gearbox and film magazine attached. Grey painted metal construction. Gearbox Type F. Marked as AM = Air Ministry. Gearbox ref no. 14A/3340 and serial no. K133233 Gearbox also printed with "High Speed", "Dual voltage check", and "MOD Phot. C52". It has a plaque printed with an exposures table. The side of the lens section (lens is separate) is marked "W.M.C. R/9/51" Film magazine section is marked with "Ref no. 14A/730 AM. Serial no. 3732" as well as "W.M. Co Ltd." and a Black "U".
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
