Summary
W. Watson & Sons Premier studio camera. Sturdy construction of mahogany with brass fitting throughout. Exquisite construction detail, all screw heads in alignment etc. Front box section is equiped to allow the position of the standard to be adjusted vertically and horizontally. Just below the standard is a plaque which reads "W. Watson & Sons, Manufacturers, 313, High Holborn, London". The rear section includes a mechanism which allows the viewing screen and photographic plates to tilt up or down by approx 10 degrees. The glass viewing screen can be hinged to the left or removed completely by lifting the back frame up and out. The rear section extends backwards across the tail board by means of a heavy duty worm screw and handle.
