Summary
Photo-See camera outfit Model A. Box camera for in-camera processed pictures. 1 1/2 inch square. Art-deco designed box constructed of wood with black material cover. Fitted with a simple lens, rotating plate with three apertures. T/I rotary shutter. Double folding hinged fame finder on the top. Three levers on the side left of the lens, one to control the shutter. On the back of the main body a detachable back plate which enables the sensitive plate or card to be withdrawn inside the camera by moving a pin and brought down into the focal plane and returned after exposure. Focusing by movement of this mechanism. Markings On the front and around the lens art-deco design incorperating the word "Photo-See " On back plate on dial markings from 3 - 100 and "Patent Pending" these are moulded into the metal.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
