Summary
An Adams Minux De-luxe reflex plate camera. The body is a wooden box structure with focusing on a rack and pinion system. The plate size is 31/4x41/4 and the shutter is focal plane with speeds 1/8 to 1/1000 sec plus B,T. The reflex mirror is set using the shutter knob. The bellow is black leather and the wooden lens plate rises. The lens is mounted on a wooden panel and has an iris diaphram. Settings range f4.5-f32. The lens is marked 'Ross London patent 61N Xpres 1:4.5 No 108801'. There is a folding hood on the reflex finder. This is embossed 'Adams Minex Adams & Co., 24 Charing Cross Road, London W.C. De-Luxe model'. The same is message appears in gold on the base. A further label on the base reads ' Westminster Phographic, 113 North St., Brighton.' The body has a spirit level and a leather carrying handle. At the bottom of the body is a chamber for two spare double plate holders.
