Summary
Ensign Reflex roll film camera 2¼ B A wooden body covered in black leather built around a conventional box camera design. The top of the camera hinges forwards to reveal the viewing hood, which is held open by a frame (partly missing) and a ground glass screen (7½. x 5¼ cms) The rear panel of the camera slides out to reveal the film chamber. Two spools can be seen which would house the roll film 2¼B. Reflex through taking lens. Tripod bush on base and side of body of camera Markings - On inside of back of sliding panel paper label "To obtain the best result with this camera ask for "Ensign Speedy" Roll film. On outer side of back panel embossed in the leather "This camera takes Ensign 2¼ B Film". On back panel two small knobs and rotating metal disc to exposed red plastic window. On front of camera below lens - patent plate No 210531'22 210717'22. Above lens embossed in the leather Ensign 2¼ B Roll Film Reflex. Setting lever on side with arrow and "To Set" embossed in leather.
