Summary
Double dark slide photographic plate holder for Kodak No.3 Folding Kodet plate and rollfilm camera. Block style plate holder for 3¼ x 4¼" plates. Wooden frame with dark brown bakelite draw slides (one is cracked). Leading edge of each draw slide is printed with "Exposed", and has a leather tab. Metal catches hold slides in place. Stamped into the wood frome on one side is "Eastman Kodak Co." and on the other is "Made in USA".
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
