Summary
Kodak No.3 Folding Kodet plate and rollfilm camera. Vertically styled folding bed camera for 3¼ x 4¼" plates. Front face hinges down. Brass barrel lens with rotating disc stops and shutter. Focusing lever at side of camera standard. Wooden body covered in black leather with black leather handle on side. Wooden standard with brass fittings. Black leather bellows. Brilliant finder on standard. Ground glass focusing screen. Tripod bushes on base and side. Serial number 826 on hinge line at base of front door. Capacity for 3 double plate holders, but this camera contains Kodet rollfilm holder (adapter) inside with serial number 374 and is marked with "Eastman Kodak Co" and 1885 patent details.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
