Summary
Shew Xit folding quarter plate camera with detachable wooden base. Wooden body with aluminium edging and detailing. Black leather bellows with square corners. Black leather handle. Two spirit levels. No focusing screen present. Plate size 3 ¼" x 4 ¼" Shutter release cable attached. Lens and shutter - Goerz series III Shew & Co focusing lever. Markings: Manufacturer's plate on top: "Shew & Co, London. The XIT. Patent"
