Summary
Kodak Premo film pack adapter. Wooden case with metal side panel with hinged opening, released by two metal clips. Other side panel is bakelite and has etched into it "3¼ x 4¼ Premo Adapter". On side of case, etched into the wood is "For Premo Cameras". Inside the metal opening panel is etched "Manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester NY, USA" and patent details for Canada, Britain, France, Germany and USA. On the opening edge of the metal panel is stamped: "Premo Film Pack Adapter".
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
