Summary
A Golf Montauk Plate Camera made by G Gennert, NY. The body is mahogany covered in black leather (part of which has frayed) and the bellows is red leather. The stays and fittings are brass. The baseboard has a rotating viewfinder and an enamel focusing scale. Focus can also be achieved using a hooded ground glass screen at the rear of the camera. This hinges to allow 5x4 plate access. It is fitted with an f8 lens and a Unicum/Bausch & Lomb shutter which has 4 speeds to 1/100 plus T,B. On the shutter is stamped 'Bausch & Lomb Optical Co.Pat Jan 6 91'. The front plate reads 'Golf Montauk'. There is a single tripod mount.
