Summary
3 double dark slide photographic plate holders for No.3 Series D Eastman Kodak folding plate camera. Block form design with draw-slides. Wooden with bakelite dark slides. Leather tabs and metal catches. Printed on one side of the wooden frame (on all 3): "Lock-plate holder for No.3 Cartridge Kodak. Eastman Kodak Co. Made in USA". One of the dark slides has "Exposed" printed on the edge of the frame by the tab.
Provenance
Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
