Summary
A Pony Premo No 2 folding plate camera. The body is wooden covered in black leather and the fittings are brass. The baseboard is polshed mahogany and the bellows is red leather. The lens mount accomodates rising motion and the camera has a simple GEM shutter with T,I,B settings. The lens is mounted in brass and is marked '4x5 Rapid Rectilinear'. It is also marked 'Bausch & Lomb Opt.Co. Pat Appld' Further markings specify 'Roche'.ster Optical & Camera Co. Apertures range f8-f128. The baseboard has a focussing scale, two spirit levels and a brilliant viewfinder. The front plate says 'Pony Premo No 2' and the base hase a tripod mount. On top is a leather handle embossed with 'Premo' A single plate (no 3) is attached to the camera. The brass slide on the baseboard is stamped 'R.O. & C.Co Rochester, N.Y.
