Summary
A film pack adapter (containing film pack) for Stereax strut-folding stereo plate camera by Contessa Nettel of Stuttgart, Germany. Black coated metal construction, with one side covered in black leather, embossed with manufacturer's name: "Contessa Nettel". The adapter is original to the Stereax camera and so dates between 1919 and 1927. The adapter hinges open on release of metal clips at one end. Inside is a Kodak Verichrome film pack in a metal case with "Kodak Verichrome" printed in yellow on one side. There are several tabs of the cut film visible, numbered 3-11 inclusive. Verichrome film dates to later than the production of the camera, being introduced in 1931 and discontinued in 1956.
