Summary

Two double dark slide plate holders for Stereax strut-folding stereo plate camera by Contessa Nettel of Stuttgart, Germany. Black coated metal construction with cream panel on each side to write on. Each side has a small cream circle with a number printed in it - one slide has 1 and 2; the other has 3 and 4. Corners of one end of each have silver coloured metal reinforcements.

Provenance

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
