Summary
Le Sterea stereo camera by Jules Richard of Paris. Moulded aluminium body varnished with black crackle finish. Boyer Topaz F/6.3 lenses with black leather lens caps. Fixed focus. Aperture adjustment 6.3, 8, 16. Flip up viewfinder. Guillotine shutter. Lever cocks the shutter mechanism which is then released by depressing button. One of the dark slide holders, stamped "3" and "J Richard" with ground glass plate is inserted into the back panel of the camera. Slide holder has textile tab and rear of camera has textile lining at edges. Markings: Stamped into metal front panel: "Le Sterea", and manufacturer's crest "RF Paris" (Richard Frères). Inside camera, scratched into the metal behind the lenses is "975".
