Summary
Thornton-Pickard box and lid. The box is made of card, with the manufacturer's label with an image of the shutter on the front. Directions for use are found inside the lid.The box has been marked 'Behind Lens Shutter' by hand to one side of the lid. Various numerals have been marked by hand on one side of the box. The colours on the box are now faded to shades of grey, but may originally have been red and yellow in colour. The box contains roller blind shutter, which attaches to the Perken Son and Rayment Optimus folding plate camera.

A part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986.
