Summary
Thornton-Pickard roller blind shutter and release cord for Perken Son and Rayment Optimus folding plate camera. The shutter has a lens mount to front, suggesting that, originally, a larger sized lens also accompanied the camera to fit this shutter. The shutter has a single blind between two rollers top and bottom, with a cog wheel attached to the upper roller. The plate behind the cog wheel is inscribed '1850'. Bulb (B-timed) and Instantaneous (I) settings are inscibed on the tensioned pointer plate which is attached to the speed setting dial (1/200 - 1/15) through the lower roller. The release cord has become detached from the shutter.
