Summary
A hinged wooden double photographic plate holder for half plates for the Optimus camera. An ivory circle is inlaid on each side and printed in black with "5" and "6". An ivory rectangle is inlaid on each side; on one side with illegible pencil handwriting and on the other side plain. A partial sticker reads "ROBERTS M.P.S...." and "..EDICAL HALL ...ENAI BRIDGE". The interior is painted black with a handwritten pencil name written in one side. Stamped on exterior with serial number "1215". Stamped on the interior is "OPTIMUS".

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
