Summary
"Optimus" Rapid Rectilinear lens by Perken, Son & Rayment with lens cap. Lens is brass with ornate etched msanufacturer's inscription " Perken, Son & Rayment. Hatten Garden. LONDON. Rapid Rectilinear 7 x 5 "OPTIMUS"". Lens cap is made from cardboard lined with black velvet. It has small piece of brown paper tape around a part of the edge.

Part of the Fenton Collection. A gift from British Film Institute in 2017. From 1986-1999, part of BFI collection for the Museum of the Moving Image. BFI purchased collection in 1986 from James Fenton's Museum of Photography, Port Erin, Isle of Man 1976-1986
