Summary
A set of two wooden photographic plate holders for "Le Merveilleux" field camera by Lancaster. Wooden with metal fittings and hinges. One of the plate holders has a shield shaped recess presumably where a manufacturers badge would have been. The plate holders house separat glass screens and have a small integral leather flap for ease of opening. 1880-1905
